Recommended Tattoo Care Card

  • Remove bandage or wrap after 12 hours

  • Wash tattoo gently with soap and warm water to remove all medication, excess color and dried blood - we recommend Provon Medicated Lotion Soap

  • Dry tattoo by blotting with soft clean dry towel

  • It’s important to wash the area and your hands with an antibacterial soap before and after to eliminate bacteria. Use only recommended ointment (Polysporin, bacitracin or royal A & D ointment.) Use only a small amount. Rub in thoroughly and wipe off excess.

  • A slight protective scab will form in about 2 days. Do not scratch or pick it! Slap it gently with clean hands if it really itches. Do not expose the area to direct sunlight.

  • Do not use any lotion with fragrances or dyes (i.e. NO coco butter, or any lotion that is not Jergen’s Medicated or Lubriderm fragrance free ,dye free lotion). It is still important to only use a small amount and wipe away the excess.

  • After your tattoo is smooth and healed you can use lotions specified above.

  • Do not soak in bath and no swimming during the healing process.

  • While sleeping. Take the proper steps to make sure your tattoo does not stick to your bed, sheets, pillow or blanket. If it does: Take The Whole Sheet OR Blanket In to the SHOWER, and let the water remove it. DO NOT pull it off or pieces will come off and your tattoo will be splotchy.

  • Proper care during healing will insure quality color and detail of the artwork.

  • Healing will be complete in 5 to 10 days.
